We celebrated Independence Day at our office premises in Pinjoor village. Members of our society, Donors, volunteers, beneficiaries, school children, and special invitees were present in the program.
We celebrated Women's Day in our office premises. Women of Mahila Self-Help Society, women college students, rural school students, and senior women participated in the program. The importance of women's safety against all forms of violence and harassment was discussed. Resource persons from the Social Welfare Department and Health Department have provided valid thoughts. About 100 women participated in this program.
With the help of OTF/FEO CANADA, we have provided educational assistance to girls from the underprivileged Irula community. Along with this we also distributed tire footwear to these students to encourage them to continue their education.
The poor suffer from a lack of employment due to the advent of epidemics. The condition of the people of the Irula community is alarming. Habitat for Humanity, India has provided relief materials and asked us to distribute the items. We distributed the items in 10 shelters in Irula communities covering 300 families and 2100 people.
With the help of SWALLOWS DENMARK, we run after-school classes for students from underprivileged Irula communities. We conducted classes in Anandavadi, Nagamma Nagar, and Kondam villages. We educate 75 students.
With the help of Environment Education Conservation Global, we have implemented an education program to provide Irula students with knowledge of the Forest Act, Wildlife Act, and other rules and procedures of the government. We have educated more than 50 students.
